Hi! My name is Daniel Griffioen and I’m the creator of griffinliteracy.com. My passions are languages and cultures, though for me it’s important to find practical applications of the things I learn. As a result, I’ve decided to bring together my knowledge from linguistics, sociology, and anthropology to try to make improvements to educational materials, specifically by creating my own literacy apps. If you want to read more about my personal vision, you can click here.
About me:
M.A. in “Language, Community and Development” from the University of Gloucestershire.
Dissertation title: “Gender and Rhetoric in UNESCO Educational Materials: A Political Discourse Analysis.”
B.A. in Sociology from the Universität Leipzig.
B.A. in Linguistics from the Universität Leipzig.
I speak six languages – such as Turkish, Arabic, German and French – and am always trying to learn more.
